They are a lower profile, but not the lowest. I have 205/40-17's on my civic. The second number, the 40, or 45 in your case is the percentage of the width of the tire that is the sidewall. So the higher the second number the taller the sidewall of the tire is based on the width of your tire.
My 40 series arn't to bad, I have no problems with them being to low of a profile. Good luck!
