Default Unlevel rear of car and noise.

I posted this in the newbie section, but hopingt o get more responses here:

Hello, I have a 2000 white ex coupe stick shift that i bought back in September 2004 with 52,000 miles on it.

It now has 57,000 on it....Nice small car, very sharp looking.

Some questions now:

1. When I stand behind my car about 30+ feet, i notice that the drivers side is lower then the passenger side. What can cause this? I checked the tire pressure and it was fine, and the car was sitting on level ground, so that isnt the cause.

2. It may be my imagination but when i go over potholes/bumps, i hear a noise coming from the rear passenger wheel/tire area of car......could this have anything to do with the unlevel problem?

I am guessing maybe a mispositioned rear spring, or broken strut/shock.
thanks

I also have a 2000 civic with about 50,000 miles on it. My right side is also slightly higher that the left. I was told that the back right shock can wear out over time from the great amount of heat coming from the exhaust pipe that is right next to it on that side. And my back shocks make noise as well. The back shocks may be going out on both of our cars. I would like some more feed back on this issue as well though.

so as a shock/strut wears out, it raises?

i figured they would go down instead of up

what is the easiest way to find out if struts are worn out?

i am pricing these parts and they are NOT cheap..

where is a cheap place to find them?

i have the same problem on my 96 but it looks like it was hit on the right side. also my right rear tire rubs on the inner wheel well. i pulled the door panel front the drivers side and it is red inside (my car is black). so i figured it was a bad clip job
