Default Vibration

I have a problem.

Everytime I brake at speeds higher than 20MPH my steering wheel vibrates like crazy. I have no power steering, it a 95 civic DX. I replaced rotors and pads two times already and the problemstill exists. I am starting to think it's either my steering column or my rack and pinion. Any suggestiones?

It sounds like it's a problem with your wheel hub then... I'm not totally sure. I'd take it to a shop to just get it checked out, they usually don't charge more than $25 just to look at it and identify the problem

might be warped rotors. they may need to be machined, or maybe even replaced. just take it to a brake shop to get it checked out

Are you driving for awhile and then this happens? or does it happen ALL THE TIME EVEN when you first start driving... if its after awhile then your breaks/rotors are no good you have glazed rotors vibration/shaking of steering wheel means your applying a hot brake to a hot rotor, your not going to get any stoping power, dangerous have your rotors replaced and brake pads i had that same problem i put Brembo/Akebono brake pads pricey but worth my life

Cyphen!

Did your steering wheel shaked when you applied the brakes? I already replaced my rotors like 2 times and the problem is still there. If I buy brembo rotors and quality pads will my program go away? Where did you get yours?

i got mine from my freind i had MAD SHAKES felt like there was a 4.0 earth quake in my steering wheel i got $80 dollar rotors BRembos (dont get cross drilled and slotted) <-- brembo doesnt warranty them anymore cause they warp they make regular rotors um as for the akebono break pads you can find them on google just type akebono brake pad it some what expensive but yes its worth your life. for a couple extra bucks

On personal note i dont trust anyone else with my life but Akebono+brembo
