Default What kind of lube?

What kind of lube do you guys use on suspension components? I've having this creaking noise everytime I turn for about 6 months now, and it's time to fix it.

All my suspension parts are stock, if that helps any.

Also, when I lube stuff up, do I HAVE to jack up the car? Or can I just kinda do it from the side?

Creaking noises turning might indicate a problem with the power steering (PS). Start by checking the fluid level in the reservoir. Top off with Honda PS fluid if necessary.

is it coming from the back or front? everywhere? check the fluids like RonJ said, if that doesnt work, try slathering everything down with white lithium... and it will be much easier if you jack up the car.

Silicone grease/lubricant is safe to use on rubber. Check the spray can before you buy though. The type I usually get is "Liquid Wrench Heavy-Duty Silicone Spray", and not for any special reason it's one of the few brands to choose from at stores. I found it at a hardware store, the auto stores only had regualr grease/lube. So you might want to start looking at a Lowes or a Home Depot. Try not to get it on your skin either, it's nasty stuff.

@ RonJ, I checked my PS fluid, and it's not low

@Baron340, it's coming from the rear passenger side, kind of in the trunk. I tried to listen for it while someone else drove, but it's really hard to pinpoint it cuz the trunk messes with your ears. It makes the creaking noise when I go over bumps or dips or any turn that puts pressure on that section of the car. I've heard of using lithium grease, but I thought that was only for polyurethane bushings?

@EJ8_Man, thanks, I'll go check it out.
