Default Whats up with my brakes?

New to this forum, hello 'erbody.
I have a 1999 civic ex 4 door. When i brake i can feel a pulsing type motion in the pedal and it even makes the car bob back and forth sometimes. This pulsing is also accompanied by a sort of rhythmic grinding that I can feel in the pedals.
Any ideas as to what it could be would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well, pulsing or vibrating during braking sounds like warped rotors. When is the last time your brakes were replaced?

Im not exactly sure as I just bought the car three weeks ago. If it is warped rotors is there a way to fix the or do I need to buy new ones?

If there's enough material left, you can take the rotors off and have them machined. But for about the same price, you can order up brand new ones. Either way, I'd also recommend new brake pads, too, since they probably have a funky wear pattern (or hot spots) from the warped rotors. But the "rhythmic grinding" would indicate to me that at least one is worn down to the backing plate already.

How many miles are on the car????? Need to at least remove one of the front wheels and look at the brake pads and rotor.
