Default Wheel questions for 2008 Civic

Thanks in advance for any advice here.. I could not search forums for some reason.. it kept kicking back my search requests.

I have a 2008 Civic EX sedan. It has 16 inch wheels/tires.

I want to get a set of 15 inch wheels for snow tires.

What year civic wheels will fit on this car? I've heard only 2007+ wheels will fit, and I've heard ALL civic wheels from ALL years will fit.

Will Acura wheels fit?

Will Accord wheels fit?

I just need to get to the bottom of this and order some up for winter which is fast approaching.

Thanks!

2006+
the reason it's not all civics is because prior to '06 the bolt pattern on civics was a 4 lug pattern. 06+ civics have a 5 lug pattern

as long as the bolt pattern is correct (you will need to get the correct tires for your car though)

what he said. This friggin site. Lost my old name and can't get it to work. So f@#K it start over.

Go to http://www.tirerack.com/snow/WinterT...=W&search=true . Save yourself some coin. The 2008 civic dx has 15 inch wheels that should work. They both have the same rotors and calipers. The dx model also has a 195/65/15. The Rims though are very expensive from honda Like 200 bucks each. I know I have been down this road already!!! If you care you will have to also change out your tpms sensors from the wheels on your car or just buy new ones or just run them with out sensors?? I am just running mine without. Doesn't affect anything. Oh, If you have aluminum wheels you will have to also change your lug nutz.

Not sure what other 15 inch wheels would work. Prior civic years in the us where 4 lug. The accord 15's might work, but you would need somebody that has done it that would know!!

I just went to tire rack and got some 195/65/15 tires on rims for 775.00 mounted and balancec to my door. Would of been like 1300 at the dealer

You can get 16-inch steel wheels for $48 each at www.tirerack.com.
15-inch tires are dwindling in number, rapidly, so you might want to stick with 16-inch snow tires. There are plenty of good ones out there by Bridgestone, Goodyear, and Michelin.
