lol alright yeah this seems really stupid....but im gona ask anyway. I had hub caps on my car before i got rims, and they were on there just fine. Then i got rims, and now i had to take them off for witner. I took them off, put my steelies and hub caps back on, and within 10 minutes of going 60 MPH, all the hubcaps fell off. I went to the junkyard and found 4 more hubcaps of the same design for a 99 Civic, and put them on, and they ALL fell off again! I made sure they were locked into place good, why is this happening lol?

 

Are you using the lugs for the stock wheels?

Umm, stock 99-00 hubcaps are mainly held on by the lug nuts. You need to take the lug nuts off to install them.

 

Yeah please tell me that you didn't try and put them on after you had the lugs on already lol

 

And lug nuts have plastic washers that actually hold the hubcaps. You might be missing those.

 

lol its jus your car tryin to tell you something....drop the hubcaps and let it ride on the steelies, its better that way

 

It is your car telling you that hubcaps suck....... and you have to put the lugnuts overtop of the hubcaps lol

 

haha no i put them on under the lug nuts, dont worry. Yeah it might be the lug nuts missing the plastic washers....hmm we'll see.
