Default 07 si

Ok i've done some searching and i'm not coming up with a substantial answer.

I have an 07 civic si all stock, with about 97000 miles. Recently we have been having problems with going in 2nd if we redline the car, but we could switch at any other rpm with no problems. Well the other day it got to the point where we are having to push the pedal all the way to floor just to get the clutch to engage. And we are having trouble with it going into 1st gear and then getting it out of first once its in gear. It feels like the pedal is not working. So my initial thought is that its low on fluid but its not. So what i want to know am i going to need to change the clutch or does this sound more like a master or slave cylinder? Trying to get some ideas before i go dumping money into stuff that doesn't sound right. I can do all the work except the clutch. Not to comfortable on this car with what i have read needs to be done to get the tranny dropped.
Thanks for the help.
