Is it possible to do a straight transmission swap from a d15b2 or d16a6 blockto that of a d15b1 or is some custom fabrication or mounting needed? Thanks for the help.

 

am guessing your ride is using cable tranny.. and want to swap with a hydro tranny.. it will bolt right up but i think the mount is slightly different, and you also need a converison kit from cable to hydro.

 

possible, but a hell of a lot of work to convert to hydro.... the whole dash has to be removed to get to the clutch pedal to swap it..just get an si tranny, direct swap

 

i have a d15b2 and i blew my tranny. what trannies from what cars will bolt right up? it was the 4 speed manual. thanks guys

anyway, any D series engine's tranny except the DOHC ZC will bolt up, but make sure if you have a hydro tranny you get a hydro tranny and if you have a cable tranny get a cable tranny for easiest installation.
