Default 6 Spd Civic

Has anyone put a 6 speed trany in a Civic? Could the trany out of the Type R be placed into a Civic LX with no problem? What else besides the trany itself would have to be done to make the swap work?

the itr tranny is mated to a b-series motor, and will therefore only mate up to b-series motors. the true itr tranny is a piece of art, but damn expensive. but to answer your question, no, the itr tranny will not mate up to ur stock motor, unless you feel like swapping the motor as well, or a b16 or a b18c or a b18b. but if you are going to do all of that, especially in a 7th gen, do a k-series swap! yes pricey, but ballsy. 06 si will feature a 6spd tranny.

thanks for the info. I should have known that it wouldn't be that easy to make my car a 6spd. Just bought it and don't want to spend a lot of money to change out engine just to get a tranny in there. Saw the 06 si with 6 on the floor so I was hoping there was a way to make it work.
