Default 7TH Gen Tranny Noise

Ive read alot about problems with the 7th gen transmissions on different forums, well in fact my luck ran out. About a few weeks ago I started hearing a strange noise coming from my civic when I would begin to roll. It wasnt a grinding noise but it was a very noticable groan . Once up to speed you couldnt really hear anything. My fluid levels were all okay and I didnt think it was the clutch it still felt pretty good. Since I had 34k miles on it with the warranty expiring in a few thousand miles I thought Id better get it checked out before any more damage occured. Any guesses to what it was? Needless to say Im without my beater until tuesday!

Hey Chim nice write up on the intake manny very thorough and nice pics. Nice read!

It turns out my transmission bearings are fried. The dealer seemed surprised and asked if I had put the wrong fluid in the tranny because it smelled funny?. WTF I didnt know you were supposed to change the tranny fluid at 30K. Anyway its all covered under warranty Im just waiting for parts.
