You should just save up the money and do a B16 swap with a mt. You will have to find a pedal assembly also to replace the stock 2 pedal set up. You could prob get the whole thing done for 2000 or under. I had an 89 dx auto and i did a B16 LSD swap with mt and it was the ****. Fast as hell. A cheaper way to go would be an LS swap which would cost u almost half as much and give you some more torque but no vtec. The cost of converting your SOHC just wouldnt be worth the price. Good Luck!

Ls is a b18a/b out of an acura integra
B16 99 civic si among other JDM cars
A B18a orB20(CRV) or a gen 1 B16(cable trans) would be a good swap for you....the B16 is the most costly
