Less "smart" parts translates into less cost, less chance of $hit braking... Get a manual, you'll love it. I learned on a 1.3 ford escort wagon which I borrowed from a friend *hint*. It's easy and gets to a point where it's automatic:-D

3 or 4 hundred pounds? wow. actually its a few pounds, not enough to notice, but every advantage counts in the long run.

well, with that kind of weight what kind of tranny are you sporting, a semi truck tranny?
jk actually I think its like a 50-60 lb difference.

Shoulda just left it and let everyone think you were joking.


Manual's are SO much more fun to drive.
I learned to drive on a stick, and I have never even considered using an auto.
In fact, the only time i ever drove an auto was when I borrowed a friends car. (stupid floor mounted parking brake)

Get a manual i have owned 2 autos and 2 manuals(currently driving my second manual) and i love manuals. When i wreaked my first manual car and i had to start driving my winter beater with an auto, it nearly drove me insane. A 300ZX Twin Turbo 5-speed to a Ford Tempo auto will drive anybody insane though.

manual manual manual !!!!!! And dont look back. I have made the mistake of purchasing an auto in previous cars, crap crap crap... Manaul = good good good. Its as simple as that
