ok i believe awhile ago i unententtionally grinded by 2nd gear syncro, so now it takes more effort to shift the stick from 1st gear to 2nd gear, does this mean my tranny will go out on me soon?????

No, but its going to do that until you either swap the tranny for another one or if you take the tranny apart and replace the syncro.

I think it costs well over a grand. It's fine to drive it like that, hondas tend to have their 3rd gear syncro mess up and mine did. It's fine like that but it don't sound or feel good going from 2nd to 3rd some times.
