Default Big Difference in Short shifters? aka ebay

Is there really that much of a difference between askunk2 short shifter and the ones you find on ebay?I would rather not spend so much more, but if it matters then it would be important. Any help?

quality would be the difference but its hit or miss. i've been with my $20 short throw shifter for 2.5 years with no problems. normal driving + careful powershifting when racing = happy shifter. but u never know, its probably better to just spend the money on the name brand and not worry about it.

Couldn't have said it better. Plenty of things on Ebay are fine (Intake tubes, strut tower bars) when others are questionable. It's not to say that it won't 'work', it's just the piece of mind associated with a quality one. Big time pain in the but if your ebay one breaks when you're driving.

Ebay shifters are a hit or miss like civicexracer said. I can personally say I am one of the guys that risked it, and it broke shifting into 2nd. It broke right at the knuckle and shaft. I replaced it with a B&M, andit's great knowing it won't happen again!

ya i had an ebay shifter for likr 8 months and it simply snapped. i replaceed it witha B&M shifter. it would prolly be better off just getting the skunk shifter, so you dont have to install it twice if it breaks.

I'm not going to get a generic product, but if neither is broken, how does one shifter "feel" better than the other? 2 posts up, to be specific.
