Default changing clutch

are there any changes in the clutch from '88 to '91. i was checking clutches online and they say to change to a '91 flywheel to upgrade your clutch. i'm needing a clutch now mine is slipping all over the place, and would like as much info before i change it, also have available a '91 crx 5 speed tranny , will it bolt right on?

Call honda in your area and ask them if there is a differance in the two. This is your best bet they help me out alot in my area. They know me buy namr though so that could help but they should help you.

I believe they changed the clutch (size or # of splines) after 88, but I could be wrong. Also, I think the later 4G CRXs use different sized clutches than Civics. You definitely want to double check all that though.

well the bugs turned out to be a rub in the flywheel at the inspection cover, gave it a little tweak with a screwdriver and noise is gone for now, what could rub there that does not rub any where else?

Did you check your cable adjustment on the tranny? If it is too loose it will make noise when the clutch pedal is up.
