[&:] hey yall... my brother-in-law recently blew up his automatic tranny in his 97' coupe EX and he might be selling the car to me. I was wondering if it's possible to swap out an B18b / B18c / B16a2 / H22 / F20C and its automatic tranny into this Civic? Has it ever been done before?? Is it even possible??? Just a thought..... but I might want to do something like that in the future.... Thanks!

Oh... any instructions on the easiest way to pull the tranny? Drop the motor and tranny? or just support the motor while you unbolt the transmission?? Thanks!

 

Just get a new motor with a 5 speed trans and drop that in. The transmission swap becomes much easier when youre replacing the entire motor.
