Final Drive Ratio Z6 vs. Y8

Ok .. 2 part question... first will a Z6 trans bolt onto the Y7 block??

Also the final drive ration i noticed on Z6 is 4.25 .. vs 3.7 on the Y8 ,, which is better and why? .. Thanks

z6 tranny will work fine on a y7 block

the best tranny would be a y8 tranny, they had steel shift forcks instead of aluminum.

Y8 is 4.25 also. 1.909 2nd gear as well, as compared to 1.9 for the Z6.
