Default Fitting Driveshaft?

After buying the 1.6 vetec 2005 civic need to fit a new driveshaft as the current one has snapped in the accident, just wondered due to the replacement i noticed they have a snap ring type thing, once inserted it opens up to keep the shaft in place, how do i remove the existing one?
thanks
josh

Just get a really big flat screwdriver and use it as a pry bar...

Between the tranny and the driveshaft. You kick it hard enough to force the ring shut....

just take a very large screw driver or pry bar, stick it inbetween there and pry it out. shouldnt be that hard to take off and make sure the spring clip comes out with it. if it dosnt, it may have fallen into the tranny. if it did, take a magnet and try to find it in the tranny. chances are that wont happen tho...
