didnt mean to sound rude, i was just saying money isnt a huge deal because i get parts at wholesale since i work in a custom shop. they told me a couple ideas i was just wondering what everyone here at HCF thought. i had a thread before about whats in my engine which is just about all the small bolt ons you can put in it, i am saving for a turbo or supercharger though. but there is still that small part of me that says N/A! so while i was saving and debating i thought gear ratio could tide me over.

gotcha, well, then in your case, a new final drive will suit you, the actual gear will depend on the type of build and parts you have. if a shop is going to help you out, and you plan on going boosted, then i say go for it. i just think it's a dump idea for somebody with just a bolt on setup. i believe sovxietday rebuilt his when he turbo'd, it helps him stay in boost a little better in 2/3 gears mainly, and helps the entire powerband. just don't expect the motor to last as long if plan on going to short (gears that is, lol)

With boost shorter gears are not allways the answer, more shifting ='s more time spent off the throttle there for it allways presents itself to drop boost off/out of it's optimum range.

^ i didn't mean shorter gears, i meant a longer final, that's what i was trying to explain to him. in n/a setups, some people shorten them in order to keep the revs up a little more, but not recommended for his setup.

^ if that's the case, what about suspension, that can always be upgraded.

if turbo probably an ebay jdm turbo kit for the cheap way or a full turbo kit maybe edelbrock or greddy, as far as if i go supercharged, there isnt really a "cheap" way but the cheap-er way is jackson, otherwise the expensive way is vortech. and as far as suspension id go skunk2 and that will only be about $300
