Default grinding into 2nd and 3rd.. please help

shifts normal under normal conditions, but when im racing or driving hard it grinds when i slam it into 2nd gear and 3rd, its a quick 1 second loud scary grind lol... need this problem fixed before im boosted with 3 times the hp and 6000 more rpms [&:]

i was told it was teh synchros, if this is true hwo hard will they be to replace with an exposed tranny (pulling it apart for lsd anyway) and how much will they run me?

and if it could be something else let me know that as well..

thx!

Also something to think about is that
you stock parts (e.g. clutch, brakes, internals) were not build for racing
they were build for the average everyday driver conditions.
Just hope you keep that in the back of your mind.

I'm encountering the same situation with my third. Grinds long and hard when shifting, except when i pop it in neutral, allow the rpms to fall, and throw in third. Lemme know if you find an inexpensive solution, cause i'm thinkin bout getting my transmission rebuilt.

heres our solution. get the kit for the s40 transmission, new bearings / seals / syncro rings, will run you $286 [&:]... better than hearing your gears grind all day when your power shifting

this may be completely stupid and irrelevent but have you tried changing the fluid? i had the same problem in 3rd gear(im not boosted), but i put 3/4 honda mtf and 1/4 penzoil synchromesh in it and the grinding went away.

That engine/tranny is pretty much as non stock as it can go with a few exceptions. Didder...you could always learn how to drive
