drag cars are mostly autos, they dont miss shifts, and are easier to get the same time every time. great for braket raceing.

Yea, but those things are so fast that manually shifting would actually take time, however on the street, manual is the way to go.

Yup, with a 7th gen you're gonna want to floor it to get anywhere. Those things have no torque for some reason (I drive a 5th and 7th gen regularly, and there is a BIG difference!).

If you start off in D2 you're going to lose angry amounts of torque. Read ur book. If your starting out in slippery or wet conditions the honda manual suggests that you start in D2. It limits the fluid capacity in the valve body so that the tires cant spin. Or at least won't spin as easily.

Also if you don't let off when your 'manually' shifting gears it can be hard on your transmission. Kinda like telling your girlfriend your gonna be gentle.. but u lied.

It sucks that we bought garbage auto's.. especially the 01 and 02 series.. since they all blow around 140k, and the manual swap (almost said man-swap.. then i didn't) costs an arm and a leg since u gotta change ur dash, and im pretty sure the pooter has to be swapped too.

On a side note and a thread-steal. I'm tryin to find aftermarket auto's for these cars or at least an a/m bulletproof rebuild, also need a/m torque converters, solenoids, and filters. Email Derek_Thompson21@hotmail if u got me some info.

Not like it's hurting anything but this thread is over 5 years old. The OP is not going to see your reply.
