Default Launching With An Auto Tranny

I never race with an auto tranny but I heard a lot of people drag race with an auto tranny. I'm curious, how do you launch the car properly with an auto tranny?

Some ppl put it in neutral... rev up to about 4500 - 5000 RPM and shift into D, others hold the brake while starting in low (revving) and shift up gears.

I wouldn't abuse a factory auto tranny, unless it's built for racing. Once the tranny starts slipping....it's over.

Yea I understand that factory auto tranny isn't meant for racing but I was just wondering how would launch properly just with an auto tranny in general whether it's a racing or factory auto tranny.

I blew my 2001 civics engine at 49 km, Sisley honda replaced it for me absolutly free, haha.

I did do a few neutral drops but they pretty much said it was manu defect.
