man. conversion kit
ORIGINAL: fast93civic
nice price, so you could have yourself a 5 speed installed and everything ready to go for under $1000. Not bad at all, the dumd cracks here where Im at would atleast charge me 1000 for labor.
I did some researching and found that a local company called MOTIONMOTORSPORTS can do the conversion for 500.00. They said that they could get me the list of items that I needed. Is that a good price? I just have to buy the parts now.
My problem now is finding the parts. The local junk yards surprisingly don't have any civics. The only thing they had was a 88 crx si. Do you guys think that could work?
I can't answer your last question, but... As far as junk yards go, you need to find a run down hick *** town with a junk yard if you want to find civic goodies. Civics will be scarce in most bigger (even small to medium size) cities due to the fact that so many poeple are looking for parts and stuff. I ran into this problem in my city, so i took a 2 hour joyride out to hickville and wouldnt you konw it, I stumbled upon civic scrap heaven.
I found everything that I need to do the conversion but, its at the place that I'm buying my car from. He won't sell it to me because he says that its a waste of money and that my car won't ever be the same. He didn't even want to give me a price for the parts![:@]
He kept on telling me that my car will devalue and it's just a overall bad idea! What do ya'll think?
