friend of mine has a nissan 240, his tranny fluid has been leaking for a while now, he got a tranny fluid change, y i dont know he doesnt know what hes doing lol, but obviously his tranny fluid ocntinues to leak, and when he shifts into 5th gear, smoke starts to come into his car or so he tells me, what can this be

 

he could have too much lubricant in his driveaxle or one of his input gear bearing or o rings could have gone bad causing it to leak. i'm not too sure about the smoke in only 5th gear though, never heard of that. but that should be engine related, not transmission (well, hopefully not)

 

well theirs redish fluid coming out the bottom of his car, so i figuired it was his tranny leaking, never heard of this problem either thats y im so puzzled to what it could be

 

i know someone with a 95ish 240 and it is a peice, his is an auto but i have never seen a car cause somebody so much trouble
