well i have a 97 dx autoand a kid is sellin me a tranny clutch and clutch linkage from a 93 dx all stock so iw as wondering if this is possible and if it is will it *** up my engine ??? wut do i need

 

So youwant to do a conversion from Auto to Manual ? Need lots of things to do a conversion, unless you have a technical know how with time and $$, I personally don't think it worth the conversion.

will the 93 tranny even fit the 97's d16 without a custom adapter? i dont think so cuz the 93 (if i rember right) had a d15 in it....i wouldnt do it either, my dad and i did one for my step mom in her mustang...but there was so much random little crap that had to be made/done/adjusted....one gear in the auto (went from v6 5spd to v8 auto) i belive it was the first wouldnt work right....but if we adjusted it to have 1st...then park wouldnt work, and you cant have that. lol.

so, i would just buy a manual...or leave it auto...i wouldnt do the swap

 

u might b right but ill try and find all the manual parts for my same yr car ... see if dat works
