Default Short shifter?

Hey guys, my 95 civic dx sedan, is slow. When shifting gears(automatic)it takes a while ecspecially from 1st to 2nd. Ive been reading bout short shifters, what is youlls thoughts on this part, does it really do the trick and how hard is it to install. This is the start of my upgrading on the car.

Thanks, alot.

If you're having problems going from 1st to 2nd in an AUTO, you have other issues. I really fail to see what a shorter shafted shifter would have on and auto. A short shifter changes the length of, and usually the angle of, the shifters relation to the shift bars which lead forward to the tranny.

automatic...not made for shifting...and no they dont make short shifters for them. if u wanted to do something to make your car strand out more or something, new gears would be the key but i would not mess with that.

Hmm, not good. Do you guys have an idea of what could be causing the car to shift gears so slow. I have my foor down on the gas but the cars accerlation isnt responding well...This is the main thing i need to get fixed, dont want to to talk to repair shop right now and get messed up, if you know what i mean.

Yeah, from what i heard around here this model and engine isnt quite on the good side. Surely though there is someone here with this car that has good performance and shifting, im stuck with the car, so i have to make the best of it. I have a 87 acura integra ls, sort of broke down, having some overheating issues, once fixed im gonna sell it.

Best thing you could do is a auto to manual swap
