i just put a short shifter on my car like two weeks ago and the thing is pissing me off lol. but thats because the shift linkage is constantly hitting the exhaust heat shield and makes it hard to shift into fifth and reverse =[. Before you go telling me to cut the counterweight off or screw with the heat shield i tried cutting it off and gave up because i ran out of time, and now i dont have access to jackstands or anything to get my car up in the air. but other than fifth and reverse i love the thing. Nice short crisp shifts.

^ Mine does the same thing in 3rd and 4th, i just hold onto the shifter and it stops vibrating.

I love my short shifter and poly bushings though. Such a difference, i wish i woulda done it as one of my first mods. Shifting is soooo fun.

its not vibrating well it is lol, but that doesnt bother me its the whole clanking and jamming the thing to get it past the exhaust that does

i put mine on my 96 about a month ago i think. i was spoiled with my 94civic since it already had a skunk short shifter and shift ****... one day ill upgrade back to both skunks but for right now i just bought a ebay cheap @ss one and reused the stock shift **** because i hated the other one that came with it!

tho i still need to install some urethane bushings as well to stiffen it up alittle bit. it does shake alittle.

b&m with es bushings, no problems. and if you break that shifter, then there's definitely something wrong with your arm muscles.
