Short Shifters
Im looking to get a short shifter and i was wondering what brands are most noted for quality. www.horsepowerfreaks.com has neuspeed dc & skunk2 for decent prices. out of those which would yall recomend?
b&m is amazing from what I've heard, but I've heard that cheap short-throws work just as well as expensive ones... I've only heard like two stories of shifters breaking, so as long as you don't put all your strength into every shift, you should be fine.
i bought my civic from a guy who also has a built up 90 hatch and while he owned my civic he put an ebay shifter in it and i broke it within two months (it broke off right below the ****) so i just used an easy out pulled the stud out of my **** and rethreaded the shaft and now i have am *Enhanced Short Throw Shifter* but i was talking to guy i bought it from and he said that he has snapped 4 shifters, two ebay ones, a b&m, and a Skunk2.
My advice to anyone with a short throw shifter is to keep a socket in their glove box, that way if u snap it u can just jam the socket on there until u get it fixed or replaced.
