Default speedo gear and bearings for obx lsd

i went to the napa machinest and he said they wouldnt be able to unpress the bearings off my stock lsd on my d16 and then repress them on my new obx lsd without damage?? and he said he wouldnt be able to save the speedo gear also, so im confused on what to do...

should i take the car to a different machine shop and see what they say? or should i go out and buy new lsd bearings and a new speedo gear and get hte new ones pressed on my obx lsd?

one more thing, where can i find these parts at? and what are the bearings called even lol, the ones that go on opposite sides of the lsd..

thx for the advice

yeah when the old bearings are pressed off they are usually damaged. i beleive those bearings are just called differential bearings but im not completly sure. as for the speedo gear, find a different machine shop. my machine shop was able to swap mine.

on the obx lsd the ridge for the speedo gear is only like 3/16-1/4" thick, and the stock speedo gear is a lot bigger, will it still work?

and thx for the bearing name
