Hey guys, gotta question...

My friend was behind me today, and we were horsing around in the streets. Anyways, he said when i wound my car up in the higher RPM's (keep in mind i have a auto tanny) he would smell something like a clutch burning..I was just wondering if any of you had any idea what this could be? He said it smelled like metal? Keep in mind , my friend really has no automotive knowledge , so his info could be off..anyways, if you could , let me know what this "smell" could be. if its anything to worry about. Thanks...

 

could it be my bands slipping causing the burning smell? it only happens when im acelerating fast...

 

i assume youre accelerating fast and braking hard so it might be your brakes other than that i cant thing of anything else

 

nah, i was coasting down to a stop...
