strange transmission position indicator behavior
Hello folks,
I'm a newbie here, and does not really know much about cars other than how to drive them.
My 05 Civic just turned 30,000 miles, and I took her for the recommended service last weekend. Today, I start to notice that when I switched my iginition key to the ON position, both the red light next to P and green light next to D in my dashboardcomes on. These are the light that indicates whichsetting my automatic transmission is currently set to (Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, etc) Both P and D lights come oneven though my transmission is set to Park position. The "D" green light would stay on for only 3-4 seconds though.
Does anyone here know why that happens? I have not seen this problem before and is really clueless so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Kian
