i have a 1994 honda civic ex i need a new transmission the motor is d16z6 could i useD15B 5 Speed Transmission Honda Civicwill it match up right i dont know anything about this really i am new i was just going to order it from jdm tiger japanese for 150 bucks plus shipping

well any D tranny should hook right up but a EX tranny has some beter gearing.

whats wrong with your tranny? manual or automatic?

sometimes it grinds in reverse and other times it wont let me go intofirst gear

Sounds like a normal civic tranny to me...

Normal Civic tranny stuff. If it doesn't go into gear, clutch out and clutch in again and it should pop right in.

If your transmission fluid has seen a lot of miles, replacing it with fresh Honda MTF might help to improve the gear shifting.

If it makes you feel any better, my civic tranny sometimes does the same thing and I was told the same thing:
It's just normal for the civic trannys.

Mine only has 43k and it has the same problem.
