Last night i was driving through town and my f'ing DC short shifter snapped where the shift **** screws on. Wtf? A DC doing this? Does anybody know if DC offers a warrenty and is it a royal pita to replace it?

 

Scratch the replacment question, I found the DIY for it.

 

in that case, that blows. never heard of any DC parts doing that...thats some hardcore shifting your doing there remmy

 

Thats the thing! I wasnt beating it up. I was driving normal.

 

Man i have heard of the ebay ones doing that but not DC.... that is crazy

 

Never heard of OEM shifter broken LOL

If seriously - **** happens, even best companies have their share of failures, albeit small...

 

I went by a tractor trailer machine shop and they were able to dye-grind the shifter for me and get the old threads out of the ****. Now I have a short-short shifter but it beats the crap out of shifting with a rod. Im still going to replace it though. It wont last long.

 

oem type r shifter ftw!! but that sucks man, i broke an ebay shifter clean off the ball last week.

 

Im was thinking about going with the 10th aniversery skunk2. But I cant seem to see ow the boot would reattach to it.
