we need help-fast!
ok i'll try to tell you the best i know.my buddy ordered a gsr tranny to go with his ordered gsr motor from a shop around me.from what he told me another guy that works there said he ordered some type of aluminum sleeve so that both wheels spin.this was almost three weeks after my guy ordered the motor and tranny from a different guy at the same shop.yes,it seems like somethings not right!well the guy who ordered the sleeve wants to trade my guys gsr tranny for a B series tranny.he says its better than the gsr tranny and that it has this sleeve in it already.first of all is the B series tranny better than the gsr tranny?personally i don't think so.
when he gets the tranny, look through the hole where the axles go, if you can see all the way through it, and theres not a pin in the way, its an LSD (the "sleeve") tranny. if it doesnt have that pin, then its fine. go for it. theres a couple trannys that have an LSD, and they are better than anything that doesnt.
weird never heard an lsd called a sleeve. but you stated its aluminum? only thing i can think of is phantom grip which in many others opinion is absolute crap. i wouldnt personally know as ive never used it. as far as a trade.....i wouldnt ditch the gsr for anything other than a type r tranny. something sounds fishy at that shop.
