Question WOT Shifting?

as u know i have a 2002 honda civic EX...and i found out that WOT shifting aka POWER shifting is the same thing...now if you do it often will you end up changing ur clutch very soon?..even if u do it right?..or do you need to add a WOT box to your tranny to be safe??

you need to have Hondata or some similar tuning device to properly do full throttle or "WOT" shifting. You'll destroy your clutch and trans shifting without a tuning device to monitor your RPM's for you. You can do it without a tuning device but your going have to pay constant attention to your tach to shift at just the right RPM's and that just isnt safe.

but lets say if i can get it down and shift at the right time...my redline is at 7250 so if i shift like a 6900 or 7000 will that still damage my tranny?..

you have to pinpoint each and every shift not to destroy your trans

there is a certain RPM for each gear to be able to get this right and you'll have to hit that right RPM with each shift in order not to destroy your trans
