I've been working on a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant with a 9007 HID kit.

The problem I got was the famous flickering from the 9007 kits. I installed the relay harness and that help but only reduced the flickering by about 90%, still had some slight flickering when turning on.

I then installed a pair of warning cancelers. This completely eliminated the flickering. The new problem that occurred with the warning cancelers installed was the HIDs remained on anytime the ignition was on, they would not turn off with the headlight switch.

Any suggestions?

The only way you can avoid that is to disable the DRL.

I pulled the fuse for the DRL, is that enough to disable it? If so, then that doesnt fix the issue either because the DRL fuse has been pulled and made no difference.

The best way to confirm how to disable the DRL is to contact your dealer ship. Sometimes just pull the fuse may not disable DRL. Or you might have a defect relay, you can contact your vendor for replacement.
