Mechanical Problems & Technical Chat - CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON

Hi my name is chris I'm new to the forum and I'm new to the world of hondas I have a 92 civic hatchback which my check engine light just came on. I don't know ow to retrieve codes. plus when the car gets hot it starts to hesitate/stumbles only when is idling. another thing I realized is that my coolant temp. gauge moves up and down just a littlebit, and i smell antifreeze inside the car when heat is turn on what could it be......

Check your heater core. Is there any fluid getting on the passengers side floor bord of your car. Sounds like the heater core.

its got to have a coolant leak.
im guessing head gasket.
its probably pulling the smell in through thte intake for the heater. and that'd explain the stumbling too.
