Detailing - water marks killing me

how do i get these damn water marks off my civic

Do a better job drying your car off, then hit it with a detailing spray. Or go out and buy the mr clean auto dry system.

ya,its all about the drying..right after you wash it, get out the micofiber non lint cloth and dry dry dry before you get water spots..wash your car in the shade when the metal is cool

yea i thought that was it they have been getting better i bought the civic and i think the guy who had it before me didnt really takw to hot of care of it but thanks

If there permanent then you will have to give the car an acid bath using hydrofluoric acid but I would have some one do this that knows what there doing I had a friend that faded run marks in to a focus it looked like it had tiger stripes.

The focus wasn’t his it was are dealerships we have done a lot of acid baths to cars and he thought it would be faster to get the whole car wet and spray the whole car down instead of doing one section at a time. I told him it might be a bad idea but he didn’t want to spend the time doing it the right way.

All good advice above.. I might add that Meguiar's scratch X does a pretty good job. Other than that, I've used distilled vinegar with good success. This is not always successful depending on the depth of the water spot etching. The quicker you get it off, the better. If it bakes in the hot sun for a week or two, you're in for a challenge... also depending on the protective properties of the wax on your car at the time. Good luck removing them.

Another good trick in addition to a great drying job and detailing spray is not using a hose attachment and just using the hose and just put it over your car, gravity will take good care of the lil water spots a nozzle can cause.
