Dont use a towel or you'll smear pWnEdU 07-09-2006, 12:25 PM A note of caution. Never use goo-gone or any kind of tar remover (even certain types of adhesives) around plastic without trying it on a spot no one can see first. I know you weren't talking about that, but I wanted to chime in. jake11375 07-10-2006, 12:17 AM Yes, be careful with tar removers. I've seen those do paint a lot of damage. My brother used some on his front bumper which required a repaint. I can't remember which brand. After that, I just used soap, water, gentleness and patience for those kinds of deals. You don't want to weaken the integrity of the paint and clear coat. koonce727r 07-24-2006, 01:10 PM i used a blow dryer to take mine off, the heat reverses the stick action and mine pealed right off, then i just washed and waxed the area and you cant tell it was there |
