getting adhesive/glue off

Default getting adhesive/glue off

i just took off the honda logo on my car it was a stick on and after i took it off it left a dirty trim around it of glue or adhesive what ever they use to stick them on got any sugestions on getting it off

i used tarminator from walmart .. worked good.. i tried few others but this one worked with least amount of elbow grease

GooGone and scrape with a razor but be gentle. Dont use a towel or you'll smear

A note of caution. Never use goo-gone or any kind of tar remover (even certain types of adhesives) around plastic without trying it on a spot no one can see first.

I know you weren't talking about that, but I wanted to chime in.

Yes, be careful with tar removers. I've seen those do paint a lot of damage. My brother used some on his front bumper which required a repaint. I can't remember which brand. After that, I just used soap, water, gentleness and patience for those kinds of deals. You don't want to weaken the integrity of the paint and clear coat.

i used a blow dryer to take mine off, the heat reverses the stick action and mine pealed right off, then i just washed and waxed the area and you cant tell it was there
