i notcied recently that wen my engine is cold like in cold weather nwadays it will idle at 1500 until it warms up then idle around 800-900, but for some reason when it is in the process of warming up ill push the clutch down wen in neutral and my rpms will rise slightly, is this normal???l

When the clutch is engaged (pedal not pushed down) in nuetral, the engine is also spinning the shaft that all the gears are attached to. Push down the clutch pedal and you take away the load that the engine was spinning and thus allowing the engine to spin at full potential at higher RPMs.

Yup.
That or kick the car's tire, and tell it to get serious and stop acting funny.
