Oil pump?
ok, i posted this earlier kind of... but ive looked into it a little and shot the shixnit with some of my local honda peeps and before i spend all day tearing my car apart id like to know if this sounds logical.
ill skip to the good part. my cars been making a terrible noise, and i was checking it out. had the vavle cover off and i had a sinking suspiscion that the motor was making noise from a lack of oil. so anyway w the vc off i cranked it and i was told that oil should literally shoot out. the oil level in the bottom, underneath the cam barely rose at all. so should i check out the pump? what should i look for or will it be pretty obvious? thx in advance.

pumps on these honda cars do not usually go out.
what model and what year and how many miles.
there will be all kinds of problems if you bought one that was sittting for many years, or you left it sit - will see clogged galleys.
if you have been driving it, then the oil pressure light will come on if you have low oil pressure ( there is guages on some (i dont know which ones); but some one will know when you give model and year)
<edit> i should have said that maybe there are guages on some - just know that my 88 has a (red) oil pressure light
