Problem with my Honda Civic 1.4
hey guys, this is my first post, i have been having problems with my honda civic lately..
ive got an Honda Civic 1.4 Marlin and its an N reg
the problem started when i drove to the A1 with my brother and everything was going fine, but as soon as we entered Peterborough the engine was making funny noises and stopped. So after several attempts to start the car, it worked as soon as we got to break for traffic the car just stopped.
I rang the AA and they came and he told me that i had a Starter Motor problem hence the car stopped, so 2days ago i got a new starter motor and that started the car up so good news!!
But now i am getting problems with the temp gauge, for example when i started the car up.. the temp gautge normally remains on the 'C' put when i start it up it slowly goes towards the 'H'???
Any idea what this problem could be, some other people have told me that i have got a water pump leak.. so by this report could any of you guys help me out and think whats wrong with it!!
thank you

in theory, after driving the car for a while, the car should be about half way between the H and the C.
if it gets all the way up to the H, there's a chance there's a problem with your water pump, thermostat, or possible a sensor of some nature, it's tough to diagnose without more information, though they are all things you can check fairly easily
