Default should i buy this??

I decided i want a honda for many reasons, but i live in a very rural area and finding them for sale is somewhat rare. I found a 1992 civic hatchback with 18 inch rims, brand new low profile tires, new clutch, a motor from the 96-99 civics, new exhaust, and a really nice sound system, andmaybe a few other small things. currently i do not have a vehicle and do need one sometime soon. the guy wants a little over $5000 for this and i could pay the money forit, but im not sure if i want to pay that much for it. I have not found anything else anywhere within 50 miles away that i like so i was wonding how much you guys think this would be worth approx. and if i should go through with it or not.
you help is greatly appreciated

I guess that all depends on what your qualifications are for a vehicle.....I bought a 1995 civic for 200 bucks that needed a timing belt and a few hundred bucks put into it......kelley blue book says its woth 2600 even in fair condition with a few rust holes so maybe if your vehicle has a brand new engine.........well that costs..........18 inch rims?.......sounds like if you like all that stuff......as far as 18 inch rims .......those cost a pretty penny and so do the tires........guess it all depends on what he put on it, is all that worth it, is all that stuff adding up to 5 grand.............whats the car worth just byitself with out the add ons...does it have a really fancy paint job.....how many miles are on the drivetrain, and is the motor rebuilt or used

Well, considering the fact that I paid $600 for my '97 DX with 17's and put in $400, I would never pay 5K for a '92. Know what I mean?
