I made a post a couple days ago with no replys, i noticed today that the vibration is the hood on my civic vibrating at idle......it does not do it all the time.

When the car is idleing, i get out and press down on the hood up near the grill, it stops....

what could be causing this??

Open the hood, you'll see rubber stoppers on both sides of the hood on the under side of the hood. You have turn them to raise and lower them. Raise them up until there is little play when the hood in closed. Ta da! Good luck!

Easy fix. Pop your hood up and wrap some electical tap around the latch on the hood so it fits snuggly when you close the car. My car did that alot esp at idle and it was annoying. Electrical taped it up tightly and its been perfect since.

^ dick, he's looking for answers, they told him how to fix it, but he asked what was causing it, so technically he didnt get a straight answer to his question. Welcome to the forum [>:]
