Default help!! loss of power

i got a stock ej8 with 83k miles. for some reason my car feels like it has no power to it. wheni first floor the gas, it gets really loud but barely moves.then all of a sudden the power kicks in. whenever i'm lower than 3k rpms it feels so slow. and im getting like 200-250 miles per tank doing mostly city driving.

i gotmy timing belt, tensioner and water pump done about 3 months ago. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter and valve adjustment done 2 months ago.

im not getting any CEL's and my car was not like this when i first got it, it was slow bcuz its a stock civic but now its worse, andit onlygot worseafter i got the timing belt changed a couple months ago. please help.

i used seafoam before. worked well for a couple weeks but then it started to feel slower again. there is a lil bit of slack in the throttle cable.u think that could be causing it?

based on what your saying you changed the timing belt. there is a big possibility thatyour timing belt was not placed correctly your settings is not top dead centered and your timing if off! ( cam timing vesus piston timing)this cannot be checked usinga timing light, this has to be seen visualy. i had the same problem before on my civic. power loss, poor gas milage right after the timing belt job... best bring it to your honda dealer
