Vertical Doors
Looking for vertical doors and came across the GT Factory kit. This is the only kit that I can find that lets the doors go 90 degree vert. Does anyone out there know of any other kit that allows 90 degree? Or any options on which kit is best? Also looking for suicide door kit for the back doors. Any help would be great.
The thing on vertical doors is that it will be cool for awhile but then it will become more of a hinderance. I agree on doing something major to the motor instead. You'll enjoy that everytime you're in the car, trust me.
I know I know I know. Everyone says the same thing. Put a turbo in, supercharger, nos, or get a v12 hemi out of a viper and shove in there. not a dragger and don't want to be. If i wanted all that I would have bought a viper, vet, or cobra. Just want a little more power and fun for the road. besides i like getting 35 mile to a gallon even when doing 85 on the interstate through traffic.
well, 1st off, i dont know 1 person in this forum who will recomend nos, and all we are trying to say is use that $ for a little more power, no one said drop 50 grand into your car and go to the track every weekend. Just saying that with the ammount you would pay for the doors you could put it towards your goal of "a little more power and fun for the road" and i wouldnt worry about MPG either. Having said all of that, if you still have your heart set on vert doors and suicide doors, check out www.andysautosport.com or just do a google and i'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
don't take it the wrong way. Actually andysautosports was were I found them, and posted the question. After reading one of the thread arguements over turbo and s/c i'm more confussed about them than before. a lot of people are driving civics up here in this area and they all look the same. The vert door project is to be different than everyone else since I don't see a lot of people with them on civ's. don't want to be doing 100mph in third gear; just a little "sport driving" around cars on the on the interstate. Sorry if I offended anyone out there that wasn't the intention of the post.
as far as worrying about mpg. I live in the washington DC area and paying 2.40 a gallon. I drive at least 23 miles one way to work and traded my Ford Exploder (not a mis-spell) because I was spending almost 40 bucks for gas that only lasted 4 days at most. so any performance upgrade that effects mpg i'm worried about. I don't care about 1 mpg, but if something drops me below 28 - 30 I could have bought a different car with a bigger stock engine with that mpg.
But again if I offended anyone I'm sorry.
