Mechanical Problems & Technical Chat - hood not opening...

anyone know how to fix the hood so when you pull the latch it actually opens rather then having someone hold it up while i pull the latch...?

It's either the latch itself or the hood release cable stretched out. Spray degreaser on the latch, clean it off with a pressure hose (or try to) then lubricate it. If that's not it, it's probably the cable.

Make sure that your hood latch is align correctly.

There's supposed to be a spring on the hood to pop it up about an inch when you pull the latch. It sounds like your helper is substituting for the spring.
