Default Good deal on a b16a?

Today in the newspaper I saw a 1990 crx for sale (totalled) with a b16a running engine and working 5spdtranny with under 50k miles. The guy is asking 1500$ obofor the whole car. Since the engine in the crx was a d series and was converted to a b series, how hard would it be to hook it into my car? I have a 95 cx with a d15b7 5spd. I could swap the ecu, and how about the axles? I dont know if they would fit. Otherwise, what else would i need (if anything) if I did the swap?

And is this a good deal or not?

(couldnt get bigger pics)

I'd buy it and fix it, it looks like a nice little crx! Those things are crazy fun to drive.

Hell no, you can get a B16a1 (SiR2) swap for that price, and the motor is ready to put in

Where can this bedone? Out here in SkI havent seen a jdm b16 for that price.

I was also thinking of just buying the car and fixing it up. But crx's are usually rust buckets in sk and it would have to pass a frame inspection and a mechanichal inspection to be platable (I'm not good at fixing rust). I emailed the guy and asked him to send me some more pics, and I also asked if there was any major rust on it. I hope he says theresno rustso I might have a winter project on my hands.

Well first if that is the correct engine for that car then it is OBD0, so you would need to buy the OBD0 conversion which is like $200 i think

www.JDMracingmotors.com is in montreal has the OBD1 B16A1 swap for $1900, so it is a little more then the car, but it comes with everything for the swap, (minus linkage and axles, but they are available)

Not worth it because you would still need to track down a obd1 transmission because the one in that car has a cable clutch and the one in your car is setup for a hydrolic transmission. Now I think it would be a great deal to buy and part it out.

The price is or best offer too. I figure he'd might take a grand...he had it for sale for 2500 a couple months ago, but I guess no one bought it... lol.Would the car be worth fixing too? I dont know how much money I'd have to dump into it to get it street legal (depending on rust), or if I dont feel like it, I can make it an autocross or solo car.
